What is the MDF?

The Market Development Forum (MDF) is a group of market development-practitioner organizations working on strengthening of the private sector in Bangladesh. It was formed in February 2005 as a joint effort of CARE- Bangladesh, GTZ-PROGRESS, Katalyst and IFC-SEDF with an aim to create greater collaboration and coordination among organizations and projects applying different market development approaches (MDA) and to make those approaches more effective, synchronized and sustainable.

The MDF has functioned as a platform for representatives from the different member organizations to meet together and share information about their work and experiences. It is a loosely affiliated network which welcomes any organization or body interested in similar issues regarding private sector development.
