Thematic working group

Thematic Working Groups focus on a specific theme or issue. Each working group is headed by an organization, and any other interested organizations are welcomed to join in the discussion sessions. The purpose of the group is to discuss about the particular issue – the different aspects, challenges, and successes regarding it – then decide on the direction that MDF could possibly move ahead in to take this issue up.

The participants at the occasion will be interested members and stakeholders of the MDF. External persons can be invited to join the group when required to provide inputs on the issue.

Currently existing thematic working groups are:

  • Local Economic Development

The LED working group led by Intercooperation is looking into the different definitions and views about LED. The group will be trying to understand local economic development in the context of different conditions and situations. They will be trying to understand and grasp the definition, and the pros and cons of implementing LED in the context of Bangladesh. To read more, please find the minutes of the thematic working group .

  • Working with Government Institutions
